LUNA AROS SANJUANBENITO

Luna (they/them) is an a multi media artist and educator originally from Miami, and now based in Philadelphia. Luna is a native Spanish speaker and first generation college graduate. Luna graduated from Vassar college with a BA in Anthropology and minor in Latinx/Hispanic studies. Luna’s teaching journey began at Vassar’s Ecological Preserve where they were an environmental educator for students K-4. They also served as an anthropology research intern for two year. Thereafter, Luna has taught at a Spanish immersion program as well as at the environmental education camp at Penn Arboretum.

Luna seeks to bring their passion for visual arts, knowledge of culture and language, and love for the outdoors into the classroom. In their free time, Luna enjoys sewing, crafting, and spending quality time with their friends and cat (pictured here!)
