PlayArts Summer Camp provides unique arts-integrated instruction for children ages 5-10 with engaging themes, projects, city exploration, and special guests each week. Located at the beautiful Maas Building, each week we will explore theme-based visual and performing arts and include plenty of outdoor fun and water play.

Campers will dive into exciting weekly themes while exploring art-making with new materials, inspiration, and collaborators. Typical mornings will be spent exploring themes and ideas through games and group activities. Campers will walk to a variety of local partners, enjoy city murals, exploring local libraries and adventuring to nearby splash pads for water play. We will travel to a nearby park each day, and return to the space for lunch and relaxation time. Most afternoons, campers will work on larger projects to be completed by the end of the week.

Drop off starts at 8:30am.

Each week of summer camp at Maas is limited to 35 campers.

The Maas Building is a beautiful performance and event space at 1320 North 5th Street in Old Kensington, with a fenced-in outdoor patio, hardwood floors, natural light, and a nearby park. This location will provide a safe and contained outdoor space just for us as well as multiple classroom spaces to allow for age-appropriate groupings and activities. The patio space will also allow for water play, marshmallow-roasting, and garden-based exploration!

All drop-offs and pick-ups will occur on the 5th Street side of the building.

- Early Bird (Before April 1): $410 / week
- April 1 & After: $450 / week
After registering, you will receive an invoice within 20 minutes.
We will hold your spot unpaid for up to 24 hours. After 24 hours if you have not paid to secure your spot, your registration will be automatically deleted from the system and you will need to re-register.

To keep costs low, we accept payment in the form of ACH bank transfer (online) or with check (delivered in person-please do not send by mail). To pay with credit card a 3% transaction fee applies. Payments that are not received within 24 hours will result in a cancellation of your registration.
AfterCare runs from 3:00pm - 6:00pm
- AfterCare: $125/week
- Single Day AfterCare enrollment will open in June, and registration is available at this link. If your family needs AfterCare for a single day, please inform our staff 48 hours in advance to be registered. Single Day AfterCare is $30. Email schoolageprograms@playartsphilly.com
- Late registrations (day of) for AfterCare may be accommodated, depending on space, but will be charged an additional $5.
- 3 - 4 Weeks = 5% off (Use code FIVEPERCENT at checkout)
- 5+ Weeks = 10% off (Use code TENPERCENT at checkout)
- The deadline for cancelling your child’s camp enrollment for PlayArts credit is May 1, 2026. Cancellations made after this date will be for 50% of tuition as PlayArts credit. No refunds within two weeks of registered camp week start date.
- In the event that your child tests positive for COVID and you provide staff with documentation of a positive test result, you will receive an account credit for each missed camp day.
